I love mashed potatoes, but they are always soupy, what I am doing wrong?

Yo Edgar; First of all I hope you are not using the dry stuff in the box. Use only fresh produce. Mashed potatoes have a delicate balance. They should be moist yet maintain their character. They should not be runny or soupy. They should stick to a spoon when turned sideways. Try adding less liquid to your potatoes. The best technique is to add your liquid a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
